MIF Kids Bookmark Contest

The Melanoma International Foundation is sponsoring a bookmark contest to promote their sun safe practices!! The MIF has a mission to “ease the burden and bring hope to the journey of melanoma through patient support, early detection education and advocacy.”
Be sure to incorporate these sun safety tips in your bookmarks!
- Wear uv protective clothing and a broad rimmed hat
- Apply sunscreen in addition to clothing
- Avoid sun exposure between 10 am & 4 pm
- Seek shade
- Avoid tanning salons
The contest is open to children from preschool age through 8th grade.
I would love to encourage you and your family to make a bookmark and enter the contest! Raising awareness about melanoma and sun safety has to start somewhere. Please feel free to email pictures of your bookmarks to me at kalisha@uvskinz.com so that I can post them on the blog to share with the UV Skinz readers! When my girl’s complete theirs I will post a picture also!
Judging will be based on originality, design & work that reflects the mission of MIF. Copies of the winning bookmark will be distributed to the winning school and at MIF events. Entries are to be submitted by December 31, 2009. Winners will be announced in February 2010. Please visit MIF’s website www.safefromthesun.org for a copy of the contest rules.
