Skin Cancer Online App is Creating New Possibilties

Marty Tenenbaum, a skin cancer survivor, has created a free online app along with Cancer Commons that is revolutionary in its ability to connect people across all borders and give them a chance to make large-scale connections in the battle against skin cancer. Tenenbaum survived skin cancer, but never got over the frustration he felt as he tried to search through the many treatments options, clinical trials and research for a way to survive. He gives all his credit to the National Cancer Institute because of the personal connections he made. Those connections made him realize that the key to advancing cancer research and treatment is by making those types of connections on as large a scale as possible. He launched his web application to bring together patients, physicians, and scientists regardless of separation class, education or gender lines.
